A New Generation Hall effect IC
Zero Crossing Latch Hall effect IC
The Ideal
BLDC Motor
- A motor that
rotates smoothly, - is not affected by changes
in temperature or
magnetic flux density and
always operates
at high efficiency - It must be low profile
and compact to
not interfere
with the design
The Zero Crossing Latch Hall effect IC is
a new generation of Hall effect ICs that change the output signal at the point polarity changes (zero crossing point) and employs
the world’s first*1 detection method optimized for brushless DC motor control.

≫"What is a Zero Crossing Latch Hall Effect IC?"
The ZCL IC is a new generation of Hall effect ICs that change the output signal
at the point polarity changes (zero crossing point) and employs
the world’s first detection method optimized
for brushless DC motor control.
Reducing Design Man Hours to Create the Ideal Motor
Complex control programs are not needed to create a motor that runs smoothly.
A Zero Crossing Latch Hall effect IC is not easily affected by variations in magnets or changes in magnetic flux density and provides the expected rotation detection. Smooth motor rotation is obtained without complex program control.
Striving for a high efficiency motor that reduces the need for calibration
Rotation detection unaffected by temperature change or design tolerances is a Zero Crossing Latch Hall effect IC characteristic.
Use a Zero Crossing Latch Hall effect IC to create a motor that will be able to constantly operate at full torque without calibration. Nor will it be affected by drops in efficiency due to temperature changes or design tolerances.
The world’s lowest profile package helps our efforts to further shrink motor height and size
The Zero Crossing Latch Hall effect IC employs the TSOT-23-3S (2.9 x 2.8 x t0.8mm), a new package that is an extremely slimmed down version of the industry standard SOT-23-3 package. With a height of a mere 0.8mm, the TSOT-23-3S is the world’s lowest profile package that reduces the distance between the circuit board and the magnets and is a great help in reducing motor package size.
